Logo animation.
An animated logo is seen more often than a still one: in the first seconds of a reel, on a loading screen, in a story. Here are logos I drew in Berlin and Barcelona and then set in motion. Some are a mark that moves for a few seconds, some are a short reel that carries the mark through the whole brand.
What you get.
01The mark in motion
A few seconds in which the logo appears, holds and leaves. The movement comes from the drawing itself: the two eyes drop onto the Polar Bar glass, the Archer's bow turns and lets a fork fly. It opens every reel and every film after it.
Loops for reels and stories
Versions for Instagram, TikTok and YouTube Shorts in 9:16, 4:5 and 1:1, timed so the end runs into the start without a visible cut.
Brand reels
Ten to twenty seconds that take the logo across cups, bags, signs and screens, the way the films for Squirrel Coffee, Walkin' and PRORS do. Made from the identity's own graphics, so no shoot is needed.
Files for every place
MP4 for social media, a version with a transparent background for video editors, and a light Lottie or SVG animation for the website or the app, so the logo stays sharp on any screen.
Questions.
02Can you animate my existing logo?
Yes, also one I did not design. The movement is built from the shape the mark already has. If something in the drawing holds the movement back, I will suggest a small change before we start.
What do I need to send?
The logo as a vector file, ideally with the brand colours and fonts. If you only have a PNG, I redraw the mark first so it stays sharp when it moves.
Where can I use the animation?
In reels and stories, as the intro and outro of videos and presentations, on the website and in the app, on screens in a shop or at an event. You get each format sized for the place it plays.
Do you work with clients outside Berlin and Barcelona?
Yes, many of them are elsewhere: in Munich, Hamburg, London, New York, Toronto and Miami. The work runs on video calls and email, so where you are makes no difference.
How long does it take?
The first motion study comes within a week: a few seconds that show the idea of the movement before any polishing. A set of animations and reels for a launch is planned around your date.
What does it cost?
After the first call you get a fixed quote for the scope we agree on. No price list, and no surprises on the invoice.
Who will I be talking to?
Me. No account managers, no hand-off to juniors. You talk to the person who designs.
A logo that should move? Write to me.
Two sentences are enough: what the brand is and where the animation will play.
