Baku 2015 is a concept identity for the first European Games, held in Azerbaijan.
An Olympic style mark is usually built on national character, so I looked for a symbol that belongs to the country rather than to sport in general. The eagle came out of that search.
At the centre of the mark is an eagle's head standing for the Absheron peninsula, surrounded by the waves of the Caspian Sea that wash it. The colours are taken straight from the Azerbaijani flag: blue, red and green.
